A revolutionary new process that restores the
finish coat of polyurethane on hardwood floors to like-new
condition is now available. The
FreshCoat Process is delivering extreme value to homeowners
looking to make their hardwood floors look like-new again. For
about 1/3 to 1/2 of the price of conventional re-sanding, FreshCoat will
make most floors with beginning signs of wear look like brand new.
Older floors will also be significantly improved, and in cases of
extreme wear FreshCoat rescues floors from the grave. The 100%
(that’s right, 100%) dust-free process is completed in just
one day, and you’ll be able to use the floors after just two hours
of dry-time!
Here’s how it works. Most hardwood floor owners
know all about the everyday wear and tear from foot traffic,
furniture moving episodes, excitable pets, children, and spouses.
They know all about surface scratches, scrapes, dull or worn-thru
areas in the high traffic paths, not to mention the trouble table
and chair legs can cause. They know that sooner or later they will
probably have to have the floors re-sanded, clean up a big mess
and wish they had installed ceramic tile instead. Ask anyone who’s
had their floors re-sanded and you’ll likely get a very
colorful description of what a nightmare the re-sanding process
can be. That’s why most folks wait until their floors are
completely trashed before they call someone in for help. This is
why the FreshCoat process was developed. To be the no-mess,
low-cost, fast and easy way to revitalize and maintain the good
looks your floor should have. Properly maintained, hardwood
flooring is beautiful to look at, comfortable to the bare foot and
easy to keep clean. Many hardwood floor owners complain that they
just can’t get their floors clean no matter what they use. Fact
is, many times what they are using to get their floors clean
actually creates a build-up of soap or wax-like material that
clouds the finish and absorbs (yes, absorbs) future dirt and
everyday grime. Over time this built-up layer will look the same
as if your floor had no protective finish at all. Re-application
of these cleaning products further seals in the trapped dirt. Now
what? Re-sand the floors? Not anymore! Now there’s FreshCoat!
The FreshCoat process starts by removing the
built-up layer of cleaning products and everyday dirt, grease and
grime from both the surface and unprotected areas of the wood
grain. This is accomplished with an abrasive pad, on a high-speed
buffer, in combination with a non-toxic chemical prep spray. The
spray loads the dirt, grime, and even the wax-like materials into
the abrasive pad which is changed as required to remove the
surface contaminates. Once this step is completed the floors are
so clean, you could eat off them!
Next, touch-up staining and other hand details
are performed to correct deeper scratches and worn-thru areas,
then the floors are thoroughly vacuumed. Now on to the coating
step: Both residential and commercial grades of polyurethane are
available (in Satin and Semi gloss levels to choose from). The
commercial grade is wise if you don’t know the maintenance history
of the floor or if you have lots of children/pet activity. In
either case, the finish is water based, dry in two hours and at
least twice as durable as the oil based finish most floors
currently have. Start to finish, the process is usually done in
about four hours.
The result: a nice, uniform sheen across the
entire floor, no more scuffs or surface scratches, most every
surface defect is gone. Back in business! Bottom line, FreshCoat
will give your floors back their once like-new appearance without
the mess or cost of re-sanding.
